Be a Champion in Life

Four-time Super Bowl winner Chuck Noll said, “Champions are champions not because they do anything extraordinary but because they do the ordinary things better than anyone else.”

Of course this is true in all aspects of life, not just in sports.

You need to fill many roles in life, – a son or a daughter, a friend, a lover, a parent, an employee or an employer, a neighbor and a member of community…  you know, the list is long.

In some areas you might be doing well while in others you need some improvement. That’s fine. That’s part of life.

But only as long as you keep growing in each area and keep polishing the every-day things.

The stuff that’s ordinary. The stuff you do daily. And, the stuff that’s so easy to ignore.

Ask yourself, – what is it like to be a good child? Then help your parents by being that child.

What is it like to feel love from a great lover? Then, strive to be that lover.

How to make a difference in my company? Then take steps towards making that difference.

How an active member of a community should act? Then be that person.

Yes, this is the every day stuff, but that’s the stuff that separates those who are true champions in life from those who are struggling.

Here is a toast to you – may you be a champion of your life!
