The Cost of Good Work

An Inspirational Story About Results

One day a farmer’s tractor stopped working. His attempts to repair the tractor were not successful.

So, he finally called a specialist. The specialist examined the tractor, lifted the hood and checked everything carefully.

Then he took a hammer, hit the motor once and – suddenly – it started working. The motor began to hum, as if it had never been broken.

However, when the farmer received the bill, he was outraged:

– “A hundred dollars for one blow with a hammer?”

– “Dear friend – replied the specialist – for the hammer blow, I ask for one dollar only. The rest of the bill is for my knowledge, thanks to which I hit the motor at the right place.”
