Value people, not possessions

Some years ago, Elizabeth Taylor experienced a big loss – thieves had broken into her safety deposit box and stole lots of valuables.

Later she was asked – “Did you cry?”, to which she responded, –

“I don’t cry for things that won’t cry for me!”

What a profound lesson.

We spend most of our lives in pursuit of material possessions, very often at a price of less human connections.

Yet, at the end, when we are gone, our possessions will be silent, and we’ll be missed only by the people who were close to us.

I wish you a healthy life time where your biggest possessions will be a huge circle of family and friends.
